The Scottish Fisheries Sustainable Accreditation Group (SFSAG) said Thursday it entered Rockall haddock, West of Scotland haddock, hake, plaice and whiting into Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) assessment in a bid to bring the group's total certified fisheries to eight.

This will be the first time whiting and Rockall haddock will be MSC certified if it passes its assessment.

Scottish fishermen landed more than 27,000 metric tons of haddock in 2015 worth £37 million (€43.24/$45.48). Of this, about 4,000 about is Rockall haddock.
