SKIPPER Sandy McLeman of Avoch in north east Scotland left Peterhead last Monday night at midnight for the first trip of the 23.95m Rosebloom INS 353, reports David Linkie.

Macduff Shipyards has converted the vessel to pair-seining since she arrived in March from Ireland as the Clogherhead twin-rig prawn trawler Seagull II DA 9.

Rosebloom and her pair-seine partner Boy John INS 110 are owned by Avoch brothers Sandy, Donald, Andrew and Johnny McLeman of the Heather Fishing Company. After a few days at sea, Skipper McLeman reported that the Rosebloom and Boy John were performing well together and fishing steadily.
