Russian fishing companies Atlantrybflot and Kompaniya, located in Kaliningrad and Murmansk, respectively, signed two contracts with the Vyborg shipyard on May 18, for the construction of two freezing factory-trawlers, a source told IntraFish.
Both companies are subsidiaries of the Group of Companies FOR, one of the largest fishing companies in the northwest of Russia.
The newbuilds are designed for catching both groundfish in the Barents Sea and pelagic redfish in the Irminger Sea area to the southwest of Iceland.
