Chef Chris Holen knows seafood. He grew up in Alaska and after spending his 20s traveling the globe, he came to the realization that food was the number one highlight of all of his adventures.
He went on to graduate from the Scottsdale Culinary Institute in Arizona and, at just 25, opened up his own restaurant in Astoria, Oregon, which sits on the Columbia River. In the 15 years since, he’s started many more adventures — he started Chef Daddy Brand seasoning salt, teaches culinary arts to high school students and demonstrates and cooks for visitors that dock on the cruise ships that come through town.
