A new report includes the case of a Portuguese patient in Lisbon, who was found to have parasite larvae on his gut ling after suffering from stomach pain, vomiting, and fever for a week.
The diagnosis, anisakiasis, is a parasitic disease caused by anisakif nematodes that can invade the stomach wall or intestine of humans, BBC said.
