A Canadian seafood processor and fishing company is reopening its doors after a year hiatus following an agreement between it and the provincial government.
Ocean Choice International spent more than $1.5 million in new processing technology and equipment to meet the requirements of the agreements on flatfish and redfish in order to reopen its Fortune facility, according to Blaine Sullivan, Ocean Choice's COO.
"Today is one step in our strategic plan to turnaround the flatfish business in Newfoundland and Labrador," he said.
