In January, the First Nation and Mainstream Canada renewed a protocol agreement which allows Mainstream to operate salmon farms in Ahousaht territory, on the West Coast of Vancouver Island north of Tofino. Nearly one year later, that renewal has helped band members get new skills training and full-time work, the company said this week.
