Atlanta, Georgia-based Inland Seafood is continuing its Southeast and coastal expansion, with upgrades, new locations and potential distribution facilities in other major southern cities.
The company recently completed upgrades to its distribution facilities in Charlotte, Birmingham and New Orleans, investing more than $2 million (€1.8 million), Founder and CEO Joel Knox told IntraFish.
In Charlotte, the company installed a new freezer, more cooling space, a specialized chilled shellfish area, and an expanded lobster holding area, among other updates. That facility is now fully refrigerated, Knox said.
