Michelin star-owned Al Porticciolo 84, located near the Lake Como in Lombardia, is the first Italian restaurant to serve Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) certified seafood.
The restaurant is a member of the international restaurant association, Jeunes Restaurateurs d'Europe.
“I am delighted and honored, and I really hope to be an example for many other chefs,” said Fabrizio Ferrari, Michelin star chef and owner of Al Porticciolo 84.
“I strongly believe in the MSC's mission and the need to raise awareness of sustainable seafood, especially in Italy.
