Sources confirmed the deal has been finalized, after IntraFishbroke the story Morpol was in talks with Brookside on Sept. 10.
The acquisition of Maryport-based Brookside follows Morpol’s takeover of Marine Farms and three other Scottish salmon farms.
Brookside's processing capacity is about 1,500 metric tons of finished products. Expected turnover for 2010 is £12 million (€14.2 million/$18.8 million).
