The world’s largest longliner, Froyanes, has been delivered by the Tersanas yard in and is now steaming northwards to dock for the first time at its home port of Stadt in western Norway.
The official christening ceremony is set to take place in Stadt on Oct. 29.
Built at a cost of €22.50 million (NOK175 million), the 60 meter LOA Froyanes has been feted as the most modern and environmentally-friendly longliner of its kind afloat, fitted out with a sophisticated factory deck designed to manufacture at sea products ready for supermarket shelves.
