Paris-based private equity fund PAI Partners said Monday it is in exclusive talks with Labeyrie Fine Foods, and is now laying out ambitious plans for the high-end food holding company.

"We believe we can accelerate the growth of the company," said Frederic Stevenin of investment fund PAI, reported Le Figaro.

The fund is in talks with Lur Berri, the company majority shareholder with 61 percent.

Upon completion of the deal -- which values the company at around €600 million ($813.4 million) -- PAI and Lur Berri would hold equal stakes in the company dividing 86 percent of the shares, alongside the company's management team (14 percent).
