SeaPak Shrimp & Seafood Co launched its "Shrimptacular" campaign on Thursday, the first day of National Seafood Month, in an effort to deliver messages about seafood's health benefits while boosting consumption.

Shrimp is America's most-consumed seafood species, yet the average American still eats it less than once a week, SeaPak explained, so "there's still ample room for improvement."

"For this year's National Seafood Month, SeaPak is focusing not only on quick and easy meal solutions, but also on the benefits of having a diet rich in seafood," explained Daryl Miller, the company's director of marketing.
